It all started with the roll of the dice.
The first time Kurt (The Bard) asked Rich (The Geek) to meet it was over twice fried pork at a local Chinese restaurant in Lawrence, KS. The Bard asked The Geek to join the A/V worship team at their startup church, an offer Rich hesitantly accepted. Little did either of them know that Lunch was the beginning of an exceptionally long, nerdy, and Natural (20) friendship.
After a few years of serving together and sharing ideas about D&D campaign hooks, painting techniques, scenery/diorama builds, and all the things they were enthusiastic about. From those chats something new took root… an IDEA, a company not focused on profit but love of the game. They discussed how financial gatekeeping kept them from enjoying parts of the hobby and they wanted to make it easier for others to play. Sound Effects, Ambient Music, Minis, and scenery all at prices that were not out of the Average Joe’s price range.
This was where the BardnGeek.com comes from: 2 dudes who love gaming who want to share it with others!
